It's time to relax.  Breath fully and slowly.  Relief is close at hand!

If you have never been to our office or haven't visited with us for a while there are a few things you will need to bring with you for your first visit.

  • A government issued photo ID - your driver's license will do nicely
  • Bring your insurance card even if you don't think it covers it.  Don't forget your secondary!
  • A current list of medications and surgeries
  • A list of tests (if any) you have already had done for your complaint (we don't need the actual tests, just tell us where and when they were done and we'll handle the rest.

As you might expect, you will be asked to complete a few forms before you see the doctor.  For your convenience you can find these forms on this website under the New Patient Center Tab, print them out and complete them at your leisure at home.  If you don't have time at home, don't worry.  They can easily be completed in the office.  Most people complete all of the necessary forms in less than five minutes and you'll meet with the doctor soon thereafter.

The doctor will give you a chance to explain your problem, how it started and how it affects you; and may ask you questions about your problem, other health problems, your daily activities and your lifestyle.  Depending on your condition your doctor may test your muscle strength and tone, sensation and nerve function, joint motion and stability, your posture and the way that you walk and move.  Through these tests and the information you provide during your visit the doctor will identify the source of your condition and make specific treatment recommendations.

Although most people do not require them, we do occasionally need to order X-rays or MRI to get a complete picture of your condition.  We work with several imaging groups in the area including The MRI Group and Ephrata Community Hospital.

In most cases your doctor will explain your problem and the appropriate treatment for your problem at the conclusion of your initial examination.  Depending on your condition you may also be offered pain-relieving treatment before you leave.

You should allow approximately one hour for your initial visit.
